Reston, Virginia is a planned community founded in the mid-1960s by Robert E. Simon. He believed in the philosophy of “Live, Work, Play, and Get Involved” and developed mixed-use areas for business, education, housing, and recreation. By establishing a high quality of life, he hoped it would allow residents to become rooted in the community throughout the various stages of their lives from childhood to retirement.
Housing includes townhouses, single-family detached homes, and condominium complexes for a range of income levels. For those that desire waterfront living, Reston has some amazing lakeside homes in Lake Anne’s subdivisions: South Shore Road, Orchard Lane, Chimney House Road, and Water’s Edge. Waterview Cluster and Lakeside Cluster also offer beautiful options as well.
Made up of five villages containing lakes and beautifully wooded areas, shopping and dining districts, and recreational facilities all connected by 55 miles of winding pathways, while only 22 miles from the amenities of dynamic Washington DC, Reston is the ideal location for your next home.
