Residents are just minutes from the gorgeous Great Falls National Park, home to 800 acres of wildlife, lush foliage, and the breathtaking Great Falls of the Potomac River, which the town was named after. Enjoy miles of hiking trails, rock climbing, white water rafting, and many other exciting outdoor adventures, or pack a picnic and relish the spectacular views of the falls from the many viewing platforms.

Also nearby, Riverbend Park is one of the area’s less frequented hidden gems with forests, wildflower meadows, the Potomac Heritage Trail, and fishing, kayaking, and canoeing options on the calmer part of the river.

The community of Great Falls hosts a variety of annual events that bring neighbors together and foster community spirit. An Easter egg hunt, Fourth of July parade, Halloween Spooktacular, and Christmas Tree Lighting Festival, as well as summer concerts with local musicians every Sunday night, movies in the park, and Cars and Coffee on Saturday mornings, are just some of the many events of which you can partake.

The location for many of Great Fall’s community events, Great Falls Village Center is the heart of the town with a lovely gazebo and the village green. Although you can meet your daily and personal shopping needs within Great Falls, the nearby area offers options for your major purchases. Only a 20 minutes’ drive, Tyson’s Corner Center is Virginia’s largest shopping mall with over 300 stores, eateries, and services and across the street, you will find The Shops at Fairfax Square, home to luxury and high-end retailers.
