The McLean Community Parking Lot Sale in September features a flea market where you can hunt for gently-used treasures from over 50 vendors. In October, The McLean 5K is a certified course through the heart of McLean for runners of all abilities to express appreciation for the first responders of the volunteer fire department and police station.
Also in October is the MPAartfest where McLean Central Park is transformed into a vibrant landscape of mini art galleries and offers live music, food vendors, and activities for art lovers of all ages.
Chocolate lovers will delight in January at the annual Chocolate Festival, an afternoon of decadence where you can purchase everything chocolate from local chocolatiers to benefit a good cause. McLean’s biggest event takes place in May at
McLean Day featuring carnival rides, live music, exhibits, food trucks, free activities including laser tag, bubble ball, rock climbing wall, petting zoo, and much more! Outdoor Activities
The natural and beautiful environment surrounding McLean gives residents the ability to enjoy outdoor adventuring at its finest. Home to Great Falls National Park, an 800-acre natural wonderland along the Potomac River, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the falls, 15kms of hiking trails, picnic areas, rock climbing, and so much more. However, be forewarned, swimming and wading are strictly prohibited anywhere in Great Falls Park due to the deadly river currents.
At Scott’s Run Nature Preserve, scenic trail ways through the hardwood forest give way to spring wildflowers carpeting the forest floor and a small oasis of rare and fragile plants growing along the steep hillsides. With gentle winding pathways and challenging rugged terrain, hikers of all abilities will be able to enjoy the offerings of one of the few nature preserves in Fairfax County.

For oh-so-fresh seafood, prime steak, and hand-crafted cocktails, Eddie Vs Prime Seafood is where to go. Your evening will be complete with live jazz music and friendly, attentive service—and if you are craving something extra-sweet and delicious, their Bananas Foster is to die for.
Coastal Flats serves world famous lobster rolls on par with Maine’s in a nautically-themed atmosphere. Consistently phenomenal food, helpful service, and feel-good vibes will have you cleaning your plate every time.
